How to play

  1. Sit in a circle and add everyone’s name.
  2. On your turn, choose Truth or Dare — or let the generator pick at random.
  3. Answer the truth honestly, or do the dare.
  4. Use a pass to get a different prompt; each player starts with the number of passes you set.
  5. Play moves to the next player automatically. Prompts never repeat in the same game.

Anyone can decline any prompt — passes are a game mechanic, not a rule that overrides comfort or safety.

Clean prompts for every group

Kids1818What is your favourite food?Hop on one foot for 10 seconds.
Teens1818What is the most embarrassing song on your playlist?Do an impression of your favourite animated character.
Adults1818What is the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?Do your best impression of someone in the room (kindly).

The adult set is clean and suitable for work socials, family gatherings and mixed groups. Add your own prompts in the box — start each line with T: for a truth or D: for a dare.

Ground rules that keep it fun

Worked example

Four teens at a sleepover — Ava, Ben, Chloe and Dev — choose the teen set with two passes each. Ava taps Truth and gets “What is your worst habit?”; Ben taps Dare and gets “Speak in an accent until your next turn”; Chloe uses one pass on her truth and gets a new one; Dev taps Random. After an hour the counter shows how many prompts remain, and nothing has repeated. They finish by printing a sheet of cards to take on a camping trip.

Every kids’ prompt is designed to be done in a living room with no special equipment. Parents can print this list and cross out anything that doesn’t suit their children.

Playing with a mixed-age group

When children and adults play together, choose the kids’ set so everyone can join in, and let older players add harder custom truths about shared family memories. Give younger children an extra pass, and let them choose Truth or Dare themselves rather than using Random. Keep rounds short — ten to fifteen minutes before switching to another game keeps energy high.
